Scottish Fold & Straights
Located in Land O’ Lakes, Florida
Welcome to PURRFECT HEARTS Cattery!
My name is Tiffany and I devote all my time to my family, cats, and breeding program. I have a small boutique cattery where my kittens are home raised and well socialized. I work with the world's best bloodlines to create my own line here in the USA. I breed for a sweet open expression, large round eyes and face, but never compromise on health and temperament.
We are located in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. If you are interested in a Scottish Fold or Straight kitten please send me a message telling me about yourself and your location. After corresponding via email I can face time you to see the available kittens. Shipping may be available (Limited flight Destinations)

Looking for a cat who is friendly, mellow, and easy to care for? LOOK NO FURTHER….
Happy-go-lucky and confident, these are true family cats, and generally comfortable with children and dogs.
The Scottish Fold is characterized by a natural dominant gene mutation which can cause folded ears in half of the litter. This trait contributes to the breed’s unique appearance and they are often described as “owl-like” because of their large eyes and round faces.
They are a medium to large cat which can come in many colors. The males typically weight between 8-13 pounds and females 6-8 pounds. The cats entire body structure especially the head and face, is generally rounded and the eyes are large and round. Although they come in both long and short haired varieties I specifically breed for the short hair.
Two folded ear Scottish Folds cats CANNOT be crossed and would cause a form of crippling arthritis! For this reason, all kittens will be sold as pets and required to be spayed/neutered.
Considered to be a rare breed to begin with and not every kitten in a litter born has folded ears (only about half of the kittens born actually develop the signature folded ears others are Scottish Straights)Scottish folds are cats that have a natural dominant gene mutation resulting in their folded ear appearance. Those cats that do not have the mutation will not develop the folded ears and will be considered Scottish Fold Straights. They are still Scottish Cats and will process the same smart, playful, cuddly personality without the folded ears. The allowable outcrosses with most cat fanciers are American Shorthair and British Shorthairs; hence the Scottish Straights have a number of traits that resemble these other breeds.
Taylor Swift loves the breed and owns several folds herself.

Activity Level: Low to moderate
Gentle, intelligent and extremely well-adjusted, the Scottish Fold is also very affectionate. They are known to not be skittish but prefer to be out with the family even when company arrives. Though they can get attached to its person, it will not be a pest or a nuisance. Like many other cats, it enjoys playing, but is especially responsive to training.

Humans can offer a great deal of love and companionship, however, it will never replicate the company of another feline. In the wild cats live in colonies so when we subject a cat to a lifetime of solitude, we are doing a disservice to our furry friend.
Our recommendation is always two kittens. They will entertain themselves, and nap together when you're not around and will teach one another proper cat etiquette (playing, biting, scratching, hunting etc.)
When adopting littermates, they have been together since birth and therefore no adjustment period needed.

A $300 non-refundable fee is required to be placed on a waitlist. Around 4-5 weeks we notify those on the waitlist for selection. All kittens will be sold as pets and required to be spayed/neutered.
